To raise student performance to a standard of excellence thereby creating a better quality of life for everyone.
The mission of Narvie J. Harris Traditional Theme School is to provide a cohesive family-school partnership which respects the individual learner and affords each student a safe, challenging educational environment with opportunities for developing talents, becoming lifelong learners, and acquiring skills necessary to evolve into contributing citizens in a changing global society.
Narvie J. Harris Traditional Theme School is a DeKalb County Elementary School that was established in 1998. The doors of the school opened in the fall of 1999 as the fifth traditional theme school in the county to help reduce overcrowding in surrounding attendance area schools. The theme school concept was designed and used in DeKalb County for the following reasons: to relieve overcrowding in surrounding schools, to offer parents a choice of educational programs, and to provide a diversity of educational opportunities.
